Marketing advice, like chocolate chips, is best digested one morsel at a time.
I think we'd all agree that devouring a lot of either all at once can be too much for the average person to handle. As a marketing expert and chocolate lover, I've devoured tons of both in one sitting on many occasions. I actually keep a bag full of chocolate chips in my freezer. From time to time I'll open it up, grab a handful and go on with my day. On days when one handful isn't enough, I go back multiple times and eventually end up eating the whole bag. Sad, but true. The same happens when I sit down to learn a new marketing task. Since marketing best practices change so quickly, there's a constant need to stay up on what's now considered the best thing to do. Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Google+.....the list of new social media sites continues to grow. As new sites are added, current ones must change their programming to keep up and stay ahead of the rest. Although this can be a good thing, it can also become very overwhelming to keep up with. So, it's safe to say that whether it's chocolate or marketing, I've learned it's best to digest them one morsel at a time. In regards to marketing, that means spending time each day keeping up with current trends and changes so that I can provide my clients with a variety of up-to-date techniques to choose from. As a marketing consultant, I help clients think strategically and creatively about their business. We brainstorm and come up with ideas that can take their business to places they never imagined were possible. My goal is to help clients sift through the different strategies available to them so that they can create awareness for their business and strengthen relationships with those they serve. I'm a firm believer in grass roots marketing and promoting your services through low cost methods like word of mouth and relationship building. Since many people don't share my love of marketing, but do see the value it brings to their business, I bring you marketing tips one little morsel at a time. My gift to you as I sift through the tangled web the marketing world weaves. I hope my morsels help you in your efforts to create awareness, strengthen relationships and ensure the success of your business! Enjoy!
