I hit the send button on my very first newsletter last week just as I was leaving for the airport. My destination- the Christine Kane Uplevel Your Business Live Conference in Atlanta. The days were long (8:45am-9:45 pm!) but the impact was huge and it was nice to be with 3 dear friends. I couldn't believe all the people who had come from different parts of the world to be at this conference. We met people from London, South Africa and Australia, just to name a few. It was mostly women, along with a few men, and everyone in the room was an entrepreneur. At one point during the conference, Christine and her team gave us the opportunity to work with them on a deeper level this year. In addition to monthly trainings and private coaching calls, there are 3 retreats where we get to dig deeper with this great community of women and work together to take our business to the next level. I have to honestly say, I was quite torn as she presented this to us. So many of the things Christine teaches are similar to things I've done throughout my career and that I work with my clients on. I know all the things to do, so why do I need to spend this large sum of money to hear what I already know. As these thoughts went through my mind, a feeling of uneasiness was in my gut. It was becoming painstakingly clear that despite knowing these things and having done them throughout my career, I can't ensure the success of my business alone. I, like all business owners, need the support and guidance of others who are traveling the same road. I also need coaches to help me keep working my plan when the ups and downs of the business occur....as they always do. It's so easy for a business to become stagnant during these times and not reach the potential it could because emotions like fear and doubt get in the way and stop us. It's also easy to work more than you need to when you can work less and get the same results. My clients always share how much they benefit from working with me. They love that I help them put the pieces of their puzzle together....and I love doing it! I'm proud to say, I do a pretty good job at it too! Oddly enough, when it comes to my own business it's not the same. Why? Possibly because I'm so busy helping my clients I don't help myself. Possibly because I'm too close to it to see the forest for the trees. Either way, I'm glad I invested in myself and my business and took advantage of the opportunity to have experts at my side and a new community of women to turn to for support. I'm also glad I realized I wasn't spending a huge sum of money, but rather making an investment that will help me better serve my clients. If you're ready to take your business to the next level, I'd love to be at your side supporting you along the way. My 3 prong approach to marketing success could be just what you need.
